Mar Thoma Mission Hospital celebrated International Nurses Day on May 12, 2026, with an inspiring event honoring the dedication of our nursing workforce. The program commenced with a solemn opening prayer by Sis. Betty (Dialysis Nurse), followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Lt. Col. Sobha Samuel (Nursing Superintendent). Dr. Shanmugaraj (Paediatrician) then gave the Presidential Address, highlighting the vital role of nurses in patient recovery and clinical care. The event featured an address by the Chief Guest, alongside an insightful speech by Rev. Lethin Joseph (Administrator). Adding a creative and educational element to the celebration, student trainees from the Arya College of Nursing performed an engaging theme dance demonstrating the proper handwashing technique. The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sis. Saramma (Assistant Nursing Superintendent), and the event drew to a meaningful close with a final prayer and blessings offered by Rev. Lethin Joseph. Following the blessings, refreshments generously sponsored by Dr. Shanmugaraj were served to all attendees.
